The Network Drivers (LAN drivers) for your Dell Dimension 8250 should be on this site: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8250&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
Usually when you go to www.dell.com would can search in drivers & downloads for your specific drivers. It's easier when you have the service tag (at the back of the machine). In this case, just look for the Broadcom Driver and install it.

Not sound pc dell dimension 8250

  • Verify that the lack of sound is not due to faulty speaker connections. A simple way to test it is to substitute the speaker connection with headphones and see if you get any sound.
  • Open the volume control window by clicking your "Start" button and then "All Programs." Click "Accessories," then "Entertainment," then "Volume Control." Alternatively, just click on the speaker icon that's in your System Tray.
  • Check the volume and mute settings. If any of the mute check boxes have been checked, uncheck them. If this doesn't work, read on.
  • Perform a System Restore If Necessar
  • If the sound has been audible from your computer's speakers and is suddenly lost, you may need to perform a System Restore. Click on the " Start" button and then "All Programs."
  • Click on "Accessories," then "System Tools," then "System Restore."
  • 3 Complete the System Restore Wizard. If this doesn't work, read on.
  • Delete and Reinstall the Original Sound Drivers
  • Deleting and reinstalling your sound driver may resolve the problem. Your sound driver may have been corrupted or may be missing. The result of this is that the restore utility menu won't be available. For Windows XP, follow these steps.
  • Click on your "Start" button. Click on "Control Panel" and then "System." Next, click on "Hardware," then "Device Manager, then "Sound, Video and Game Controllers."
  • Click on a sound device named in the Device Manager, and then press the Delete key on the keyboard. Click "OK" in the window that appears. Remove all the listed sound devices i this way EXCEPT Audio Codec and Legacy Audio Drivers.
  • Restart your computer. Reinstall the deleted drivers using the Driver and Application Recovery CDs that came with your Windows XP system.
  • Visit your computer manufacturer's official website. Check for any updated sound driver software for your sound card. If any, download them along with the installation instructions.

How do I restore a Dimension 8250 to original factory settings? It's running XP. Control F11, F8, and using the system restore feature does not seem to do the trick.

to restore to your pc as it was from the factory you will need the cd's that came with the computer. one of those will be the Operating System cd. Once you have located the correct cd, boot from that cd and follow the instructions to reinstall the operating system.

Need ethenet controller for dell dimension 8250 PLEASE ANYONE

    lets try a few things

open up device manager, right click on the other device, click properties, open up the drivers page, update driver, search my computer automatically next next next, does it find the driver? if not then go back Select driver manually - advanced, do you still have the files you downloaded? direct the manual search into the download folder / where you have extracted the files, might install that way.

Let me know how that goes.
    Thanks

Full system restore without disk for dell dimension 8250

The Dimension 8250 was not equipped by Dell with an automated re-image process. If you want a clean installation of Windows, it will require a manual installation from the Dell Windows Media, followed by installing the drivers from either the resource CD or internat download. Once completed, then reinstall all applications.

Pci driver problems after I installed a new hard drive.

Changing the hard drive would definately cause the problem you describe, I would need to use the dell restore disk to reinstall the operating system. Also you will need to use the dell application and driver disk to reinstall all the drivers and applications. BPCS
