Kv-35xbr48 turns on fine nice picture then horizontal lines form distorting picture like interference also is the back hard to take off and put on needs a good vacum thanks for any suggestion

At first the picture is ok, and then distorted with horizontal lines i thinks. If the horzontal lines are parellel acros the screen, with an inch apart across the whole screen, your tv needs screen adjustments. Screen voltage may be high. look into the crt base also. Change it first. These also not resolve the problem, LOT may be faulty, with respect to screen focus pack. May need replacement. Try first setting screen voltage to a lower settings and observe.

I have some distored blue color across the screen

Projection sets have two very common problems.

The first common problem is convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

I have a Canon Powershot A70 and when I take a picture now, the display shows a photo with horizontal lines across with very little color. Is there anything I can do? Donna

Dear dkserv:

This is almost certainly a CCD image sensor problem. The PowerShot A70 has a Product Advisory on this very issue and if you are indeed experiencing it, Canon will repair the camera at no charge regardless of how long you've owned the camera.

If the LCD screen shows this distortion in all shooting modes, yet you can see the menu (press the MENU button) just fine and/or any images taken previous to the malfunction without distortion then you've got it!

Call Canon Tech Support at 1-800-828-4040 (M-F; 8 am - midnight EST) and tell them you think you might have the CCD Image Sensor issue and they will take care of it.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
HeavyDLB

Blue streaks across picture

Can you describe in a little more detail what the symptoms are? Are the streaks thin lines or are they large thick swashes of Blue? Is yur video still visible? Sounds like it may be the blue convergence amps or the resistor tied into the amps. is there anyway you can post a picture of your screen distortion?

PURPLE LINES SHOWING ON SCREEN WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TAKE PHOTOS

Your camera likely needs a new CCD imaging sensor. It is a cute little thing and is very expensive to replace. I've seen deals to repair any digital camera on eBay and I would check for a local repair person in your area. You can use the search on this site to see who might be close by. I have an A310 doing the same thing.

Black horizontal lines across bottom 1/3 of screen

This is due to vertical section failure. Change the vertical supply rectifier diode and supply filters. Then check zener diode leakage in pumpup circuit section. Also check any electrolytic capacitors leakage in vertical section. If it is old model tv change vertical height, vertical lenearity presets also. I hope given details useful to you.
