Can not stop hoses from leaking from the washer ad also the hook

The pump and its various hoses are easily accessable through the back panel. The boot can collect coins which can block the pump. Squeeze the boot and empty it of all coins. Coins can ruin the impellers on the pump. A new pump costs $100 on line. The drain hose can be plugged by dimes and pennies. Good luck.

It sounds like the drain hose or pump is stopped up.

The not completly filling and squeeling makes me want to look at the screen on the water valve that the hoses attach to on the rear of the machine for blockage preventing water flow,to me the squeeling is the solonoids on the water valve calling for water yet no water coming in. IF you manually fill the washer using buckets of water/a hose what will happen? perhaps try that!!
Also if you have the "aquaflow flood stop" hoses the internal stopper in the hose is bad,replace hoses using standard hoses

I have an Atlantis myself. There can be several problems. Did you check that the fill hoses in the back are not leaking? Are they tight? There are hoses inside the washer and a pump near the front. I replaced my pump last year and I,m getting ready to replace the thrust bearing assembly (spin issues). Does the washer leak with every load? make sure water is not splashing over the tub when filling. The front panel comes off if you can and leave off and watch to see where water is coming from.

I have a Maytag Atlantis top load washer which leaks in the rear right hand corner under the discharge hose, how do I take the machine apart to get to the problem.

Do your work from the back of the machine.

90% chance it's just a loose hose or a bad fitting/clamp. Very cheap and easy to fix. If you like your washer, I'd say either pay to have someone come repair it, or if you are handy (or have a handy friend) give it a try yourself. You'll have to remove the back and find the leak.

I just hooked up my washer and after filling it the motor hummed and smelt like it was starting to burn! Is this a fixable problem?

you may have leaned on lid and damaged the lid switch , so the washer thinks the lid is open all the time unit will fill then stop with lid up.
