Help pls there is no psp 1001 in the list its starts with psp1002

my psp 1001 dosent upgrade to 6.60 version is it because it dosent have a battrey

The problem likely is that your memory card is bad, that is, assuming your psp is hacked. Format your memory card, but back up the files first. Sorry i can't help you much more, but this is mere speculation, as you did not provide a valid error code. PSP error codes are 8 digit numbers.

You need to update the firmware to GEN 5.5C. This will then allow you to play all games. Have fun!

try this but it might take all day start from 0000 and end at 9999 try all the combinitaions in the middle it might take the whole day and/or go back where u bought it and ask them or trade it in for a new one

hey... how old exactly is your psp 1001? i have a friend with the same problem.. turns out something happened to his psp... something happened or that he did something accidentally to his psp...i don't if this is any help but he always played his psp 24/7 and never stopped.. it was always on.. but now sometimes his psp doesn;t produce any sound anymore... try to take your psp back to sony for a repair.

If you have a PSP-1001 or PSP-2001, you can downgrade your psp from 6.10 with a service or pandora battery. If you have a PSP-3001 you are out of luck.

You can create a service (pandora) battery and the 'magic' memory stick from any psp-1001 already running custom firmware. You can also buy them online, and if you look in the local classified ads website where you live, you can probably find people offering a downgrading service.

go to a game stop to see if the battire is broken or if the screen is broken i have a 3001 and the battire broke cause i droped it so go to game stop and check with them. by zack turner

after you have dowloded it you need a converter an then transfer the game over to your psp

my son's psp 1001 sony brand will turn on and charge we bought a new battery for it, but when he trys to play a game it won't run it will start to turn the disc then it will stop and the umd symbol don't even show up in the game catagories i need help to fix it..
