I have Sony Bravia 42". It is about a year old. Everything was fine until there was a power outage twice within five minutes. Next, when I turned the tv on, it showed the message, “Current time has lost, please reset the time." I tried resetting the time but image on the TV screen started flickering every 15 seconds. When i reached to the Time setting button, it didn’t allow me to change the time as the function was disabled. Next, I turned off the TV and reset the tv to its factory setting. It didn't resolve the issue. Now, I am getting the message on the tv screen, “No signal" " No program description is available" and the TV image is showing all black and white dots and the image flickers every five to ten seconds. Pleeeeeeese help me out to solve this problem... I will appreciate it.
You know how to reset the tv to its factory setting, I think you are a technician. Second thing you can do is software update. Go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=KDL42V4100&LOC=3#div_pos_30 . If it doesn’t work. Replace the Main board (UB board). Part # A-1547-086-A Cost approx $320.
