I have detemined that the water supply line (a tan colored plastic line) from the water valve to the filter has a small hole and needs to be replaced. My question is how to remove the line from the back of the filter. I am not sure if it just pulls out and gets pushed back in or if it has some type of compression connection.
SOURCE: Icemaker - Plastic
If the pieces of plastic are smaller than the inner diameter of the water tube then you should be looking at the filter washers on the tap and where the water line fits onto the valve assembly behind the fridge. If the filters are clear, the problem is within the ice dispenser. Remove the ice bin and inspect the shroud where the motor coupling pushes onto the auger behind the bin. The auger could be off centre and chaffing the plastic away. Otherwise, check the ice maker fingers for damage.
SOURCE: Frigidaire water won't flow
there is a screen on the inlet to the valves that sometimes will clogg up. take the solinoise off and then you can take the inlet of the valve apart and make sur that the screen iis clear.
SOURCE: I need to replacethe water line from the valve assy to filter
I think I can help. These are a strange looking fitting that looks like the line is just pushed in but not held by anything. If you look closely you will notice that the fitting is a small cylinder shaped piece with a lip on the tubing side. it may also seem loose. Slide the lip of the fitting in opposite direction of tubing and pull tubing out. Be ready with a towel though because this will release a bit of water. Wish I had a diagram to show you. then you could see this process. Hope this helps and good luck.
SOURCE: Water is not going into icemaker, I've replaced
I have a maytag side by side with water in the door, the cold water works but the icemaker doesn't. No water flow into the icemaker, it doesn't appear to be iced up. Can not tell if the selenoid works.
