Noisy dryer with long dry time

There is several areas that you will want to check and listen to it carefully
Rollers Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time. Idler pulley Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it. Check the following:

1. Idler pulley - It keeps tension on the main drive belt and when it is worn, it can be squeaky and noisy. Replace then.
   
2. Glides - Attached to the front bulkhead of the clothes drum for support. When worn, it can be noisy and squeaky.. Replace then.
   
3. Rollers or wheels - They support the clothes drum. When they are are worn, you should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time.
   
4. Blower wheel - It pulls air over the heat source through the clothes drum past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. It may wear out over time. If it is noisy, it may be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you need to replace it.

Mine was very noisy. Then I found the impeller clogged with lint. I cleaned it and now the noise is gone.

Remove the lower panel (2 Torx T20 screws).
Remove the impeller cover (1 Torx T10 screw and 4 snaps).
Clean impeller.
Reinstall covers. Don't overtighten screws.

You either have a restriction somewhere in the venting which you say you have already checked or maybe a bad blower (fan). it may be stripped off the shaft and not pulling any air through the machine. If you run the dryer with the hose removed at the back and it dries well you have a problem with your venting. If it still takes three cycles it's a problem with the dryer. Repair would probably run about $100-150

hi .thanks for the question .no the element does not go bad a little at a time. but the venting gets clogged up a little at a time . remove the venting and clean to the outside wall . also if the dryer is noisy you could have a blower problem. if the dryer is noisy .but check the venting thanks the appliance doc

TRY DISCONNECTING THE EXHAUST FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER AND RUN ONE LOAD THROUGH IT. IF IT DRIES O.K., THEN YOU HAVE A RESTRICTION IN THE DUCT WORK.
