The LCD panel is failing, bad T-CON board which is built-in part of the panel, it will get worst, new LCD panel will be needed.

My lg lcd got a pink vertical line on its right hand side and it is getting bright day by day .my lcd is LG FLATRON L177WSB. is any solution pls get me out of dis ..................

What you have is a row of "stuck" pixels. Do a google search for a utility that will "repair stuck pixels" I have used them with very limited success. Your chances are better if it is just one or two but you have whole row. That says to me it's a bad transistor somewhere.
Here is a video that shows how the 'unsticking" process works with a web link.

You are probably looking at buying a new screen.

Hi, i have AL1716 monitor (2 year old). Recently, there is a blue vertical line which appears on and off sometimes in the monitor. Can anyone suggest on a solution

Is the vertical line always at one location ? (on the screen)
If so, it appears that the video card/driver (on your PC or laptop) may be causing the line to appear occasionally ... i.e. flaky ... and it will likely fail (completely) in due time. To confirm it's the video card, try using another monitor (long enough) to see if it happens.
[ The line may also be caused by "dead" pixel on the screen ... but this usually happens on randomly located pixels on the screen, not on one vertical line. But, it may also be a possibility ... in which case, using a different monitor may prove it one way or the other ]

LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly purchased unit after switching it on, LG logo appears followed by the Power Saving Mode it all goes black on the screen.

Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9

Monitor is blueish

If the Blueish problem appears try play around with the VGA cord and see if the Colors comes back, if not, try hiting the monitor to see if the lines and color problem comes bcak to normal. If not your monitor's circuit board needs some dry solder, it could be the cold solder problem. Cheers.

Single vertical red line

Hello Monastirion,

Is the red line there all of the time without exception, for instance when you initially turn on your pc, is it there before the operating system boots?

If so, the monitor itself is most likely broken. I would return it to wherever you bought it, if possible.

Regards,

-Chester

Black Out

Hi Detrix, Check with www.lcdrepair.net if you want a repair. Something is wrong with your LCD controller and or GUI interface circuit or the circuit supplying power to it. If your technically endowed, you may want to open the monitor case and clean the dust and lint from around the circuits using a Small paint brush to sweep away any built up dust. These circuits take the Signal from the computer and controls the 2.5 million pixels on the LCD screen. Dsut can cause major problems with handling all that data. Give it a shot, what do you have to loose, its not dangerous if the monitor is unplugged.
