Laptop wont connect to wireless network, desktop internet works fine, but laptop recognizes network, however will not connect to it. i have an hp mini netbook with windows 7 on it. just keeps telling me that windows was unable to connec to the network.
Perhaps, it just needed a new IP address. Simply rebooting the computer and resetting the IP Address of the computer took care of the issue.

That sounds like symptoms of Manufacturer & Windows drivers conflicting. Try uninstall the Manufacturer Drivers and let the windows ones do the work, and see how that goes down.
Title: Can not access internet by other laptop
?· Open control Panel and go to Network and Internet Connection.
?· Open it and select Network Connection
?· After that you see your networks , select and Right Click on it and go to Advance Tab
?· In Advance tab you just see a option like "Allow me to share my network"
?· Click on that option , apply and ok
After that 1 dektop connected with another by LAN and Laptop connected with 2nd desktop By use of LAN cable
it call Series Connection.Like--1st desktop--->2nd Desktop--->Laptop
Otherwise Bring a HUB and You can access internet
Now you can access internet on both laptops

The netowrk is probably secured via a WEP key... When you try to connect to the network does it ask for a WEP key.. or any other information???
