SOURCE: Lines on screen
I recently had the same problem with my z612 including horizontal lines on screen and very white images. I was able to fix the problem however it took 12 hours and a lot of frustration. The problem started when my 1 year old pulled the camera off the table onto hardwood floor. It had no apparent damage but took bad pictures. The problem was in the f-stop apeture and shutter. Both are made of small plastic flaps that open and close. A small disc with 6 slots rotates to move the 6 f-stop flaps. A solenoid actuates the 4 shutter flaps. If you shine a light into the lens and look in you will see that the shutter does not open/close properly or that the f-stop opening is no longer approx round. This happens when the plastic flaps fall out of position due to impact. This can be fixed but requires most of the camera to be disassembled to get to these delicate parts. It is very difficult to reassemble the lense assembly which includes the zoom lense, the image stabilizer, and the shutter assembly all of which ride on different cam tracks within two concentric plastic tubes. I do NOT recommend repairing this yourself unless you are crazy like me. Better off to buy a new one.

One way out of the glare is to use the optical viewfinder (if your camera has one) to preview your image instead of the LCD. Another possibility is to buy a camera that has a backlit LCD.

Hey Wistra,
You could try resetting your camera to the factory settings by choosing the reset to default setting in the menu. If this doesn't work the sensor on the camera is most likely broken, and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. If the camera was purchased less than a year ago the repair would most likely be covered under manufacturers’ warranty. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Allan

Check if this is in all the SCN.
