STRANGE THAT ALL YOUR VALVES WOULD GO BAD AT SAME TIME, I WOULD PERHAPS CHECK YOURKNOBS ( USUALLY THERE IS A SMALL METAL INSERT THE PRTECTS THE PLSCTICKNOB ITSELF, IT SOETIMES SLIPPS OF AND REMAINS ON THE VALVE STEM IF SO YOU WONT BE ABLE TO PUSH IT DOWN TO TURN IT ON, SIMPLY REMOVE THE INSERTS FORM THE STEMMS AND REINSERT THEM INTO THE KNOB IF THIS DOE INDEED SEEM TO BE THE ISSUE, OTHER THEN THAT REPLACING THE VALVES.

Amana counter top gas stove when plugged in start making clicking noise and you can smell gas .

on most, your push down and turn to hi to open gas valve and turn on piezio to light burner. it sounds like you have a knob already turned on . the control under the knob may need replacing. kinda an easy replacement if you get new part. check out repairclinic.com for video(maybe) but for parts for sure. be careful. gas is explosive.

What wood cause a burner to ignite and will not turn off.

Is there an orange glow in the burner area when this happens? If so then the thermostat is not shutting the ignitor off and needs replacing. If there is no glow then the gas valve is not shutting off the gas and needs repalcing

No gas coming out of any burners but they click

It could be locked, the valve could bed closed. r clicking is just an electric switch I would make sure the gas is turned on somewhere

Seized knob, won't turn

Get some rust buster and apply it to the valve stem liberally. Work the shaft in and out a bit to loosen the shaft. Let that rust buster sit on there a bit. Good stuff.

I have a gas cooktop, probably 15 years old. it was operating normally until my wife spilled water across the control knobs. The next day 3 of the 4 knobs wouldn't turn at all. Then the next day they would...

the 15 yrs old unit is made from metal the gas line or the valve compare to the new is made from alluminium or bronce,i think the unit is have a rust b4 the water spilled accros the knob,u said after 3 days di not turn at all then after next day it turn it again, the posible coz is u force to turn it the valve that coz of damage it,gas valve is sensitive if u force to turn it coz is made of metal then the unit is almost 15 yrs old.for me dont try to repair it,coz the part is expensive or if there available in the market?compare to buy an new one.

Burner won't light

is gas comeing out of the hole? sometimes by cleaning the orfice hole (food and debrie will get in there and plug the hole not letting the gas come through) i get a needle and poke it.

when you say it is sparking...When you turn the dial for that specific one you want ignited... That one is sparking? If so Great. This means you either have a plug or the valve is bad and not letting the gas flow through.
