I get an immediate picture, but I have a delay of 70 swconds when turning on the TV and cable box brfore I the cable box functions. If I only turn on the cable box I can change the channel then turn on the TV, still need to wait for any oter changes. I tried HDMI, component, and av cables. I also turned off the 1080i since my TV is a 26" Vizio with 720p. This TV works with my other cable/DVR box without any troubles. Any Ideas.

What's causing blue screen on Samsung 70" led TV?

the source or input device has not been set up in the proper mode. For example, if your cable box is linked to your TV using a coaxial cable, your TV needs to be set to a program channel input to receive a signal, not a TV/Video input.

Lip sync

Vizio HDTV- Lips out of sync

Anyone with a new Vizio E601i-A3 60" or 70" HDTV that is having audio "Lips out of sync problems" with a cable or satellite box.

On Comcast cable boxes (or others), here's what you need to do: FIND MENU for AUDIO or HDMI setup on CABLE BOX or Satellite Box.

FOR COMCAST

1. Turn on TV and have Cable box Turned OFF.

2. Press MENU on COMCAST REMOTE.

3. Go to AUDIO Setting OR HDMI Setting. (On cable or Sat. BOX)

4. Change setting from Auto to L-PCM. (Turn off cable box to exit)

This should resolve any "out of sync" lips to picture after commercials on HD channels.

*This is a handshaking issue from the cable box to the Vizio E601i-A3

WE had Sony Bravia 42" LCD TV for two years working fine. Thuis morning the picture went off. What is the problem?

After checking DVD and other accesaries (functioning OK), I turned the power off for the Cable Box and restart to reset the Cable Box which resored the VIDEO function. I recommend the same procedure for those who has a Cable Box.

LG TV renote not worknf on 4 new sets

Hello,

If you have a cable box (otherwise known as a set-top-box) that you have to turn on when you turn the tv on, and you use to change your cable channels, the LG remote will not control it. The LG remote is strictly for the tuner built into the television, and is not capable of controlling the cable box.

You probably see "function not available" because you are viewing the picture on an external input of the tv (component, composite, etc). Your tv cannot tune stations in when it is set to an external input that you use to watch DVD's, cable boxes, games, and other devices. The tv is telling you that you can't change channels if it is on an input.

I hope this helps you...

HDMI issues with Comcast HD Box

HDMI Has a safety feature that blocks other remotes from changing things. What a Joke I say. There could be a problem with the feature.
You can push up on the "Settings" button on the remote twice to enter the "advanced" settings menu. There might be something in there that needs to be set.
I found out that if I change the cable box output from HDMI to DVI it will work fine but the picture is not as clear.

I believe its a hdmi and communication problem with you box.The only thing you can do is to go back to component video cables until they come up with a fix.

Delayed signal to my lcd from the cable box.

It is not that rare to have a few secound delay but it sounds like yours has some componates that have gotten alittle hot at times and now take longer to come up if you haven't put a surge protector on it I would do so . To day with all the brownouts and power spike the newer units can not handle this couse of the componate being a lot smaller and as we put more and more ecectronic in our homes we create are own power drops the only way to help this in most homes is to use surge protectors.

Delay to see the picture

Your power supply is going south, I have an old sony with the same problem. The voltage level drops and does not have enough 'kick' to start. It will work better when it is warm. The module will need to be replaced.
