My Keurig Platinum B70 is leaking. When I put the water reservoir on to the coffee maker, water seeps out the bottom where the reservoir sits into...almost like the little valve in the reservoir stays "open" and continues to drain water into the coffee maker. It creates a puddle around the bottom of the pot and all over the counter. Any ideas to fix it would be appreciated.

My Keurig B60 had the same issue. The water reservoir has a valve in a nipple on the bottom that slides into a clear plastic fitting within the base of the unit. Water from the reservoir is supposed to pass through the fitting and into the pump, which is also in the base. Over time, hard water deposits can build up on the nipple or the mating fitting (or both) such that a good seal is not made when the reservoir is in place and water slowly leaks out the bottom. To fix this, I removed the five screws on the bottom of the Keurig and then removed the two screws which hold the fitting in place. I gently cleaned both the clear plastic fitting and the nipple in the bottom of the reservoir with white vinegar. After rinsing both with clean water and drying both, I applied a small amount of silicon faucet grease (available at any hardware store) to both parts. I haven't had any more leaks since, although I assume I will have to repeat this operation periodically.

Thanks for all of the advice. Although my unit was brand new and leaked from the underside from start up, i know mine had a different issue that calcium build up. Although by removing the two screws right where the intake valve is led me to see a tube zip tie broke a small tube had been disconnected. If i hadn't read your post, I would have never known or it would have taken me forever to find the cause of the leak. I have the B60 WR system...many thanks!!!

Could need new seals. To check; fill tank with water and hold it in the air to see if you can see water leaking. If it leaks replace seals... You can find them here:

Water pot part leaking from the rubber part on bottom? that's the only thing I could think for you to check. Maybe not getting a good enough connection to the coffee maker itself

My Keurig leaks from the bottom, it's a pain.

You may have water in the holder that supports the CUP. It needs to flushed as it has a limited area for maintain the overflow.

Today,my keurig started to short cup me, and shortly after that, it will not brew anymore! I noiced while de scaling today( recommended per keurig), that more water is pouring into the water resivor, vs...

The water pump is probably starving for water:1. Remove the clear plastic reservoir and set it aside. 2. Look into the hole that the reservoir sits on. You will see a fine plastic screen that keeps debris from getting to the pump. 3. Clean off the screen. You may have to disassemble the bottom of the machine and remove it to do it right. 4. Put everything back together and the short-cup problem will be history.
