Assuming you have a Kango of the E Type vintage, I think the oil consistency is probably around the SAE 30 range with additives.
If someone could identify the base consistency of the oil used in the older Kango's, then an oil suitable for the Kango can be formulated and submitted on this website.
As for manual, I have a E Type manual booklet, the only mention is that Special Kango oil must be used.
Also see; February 11th. 2013 item on this website regarding Kango oil.

the old kango 900 and 950s use a mobile grease, tan in color. I have parts and service manual that I may be able to email you.

hi, have you got pinions for them?

  • Anonymous Oct 20, 2010

Probably, I should at least have a good used one. However when I have had to replace the pinion I normally have to replace the ring gear. Either way you will need to reshim the ring gear or you will ruin them. send me an email.

Hi any chance that you've still got a copy of that manual? Cheers

Hi, im looking for spare parts fo a kango type m electric hammer no51877m its 50+ years old & i need the two springs, motor brushes & oil seal thenks steve powell

This is going to be tricky. Kango was bought out by Milwaukee tools and that model is not available. The springs you are going to need to measure with a caliper for length, width and diameter of the wire. Compression specs becomes an issue. http://www.leespring.com/browse_catalog.asp?springType=C&partNum=LHL*&xsearch=Search

The seal is the least of your worries because you can get sheet gasket material or use silicon gasket material in a tube. The brushes are another issue. https://www.repcoinc.com/brushes/

For parts this old, I start out looking on ebay by the part number and brand. If that falls through, I look for the whole product on ebay because there might be one cheap enough to strip a part from. Fact is, I don't find the part elsewhere on the web, even in part replacement sites. You might contact customer service at Kango or Milwaukee Tools but such is a long shot. Here is what ebay offers: kango 750 rotary hammer: Search Result ' eBay

Need Parts List And Service Guide For Kango 990/950 Breaker

If these are the original Kango kangos then you are out of luck. They have been obsolete for many years now and no parts have been manufactured for a long time. The name was bought by DeWalt and they didn't do much with it. The Kango name is now ownd and used by Milwaukee, but there machines do differ alot from the originals. There were a few main models and the main mid sized breakers were the 900 (hammer only) and 950 (rotary hammer) There were a few facelift/variations of each (K, X and B I think) and they did use a couple of different sized seals/pistons/cylinders.
If it is one of the Milwaukee models you can look up diagrams here...

Kango 900 hammer:\r\nDon't know how to greace the

Milwaukee K900K or the English Kango 900K Blue old or Red some younger handle it differs very much English Kango was using a thick brown grease in 2 chrome colored plastic bags . the Milwaukee K900K has a lubrication grease also not oil but be aware of the operating hours i f you have a K900K model from Brand Milwaukee tools replace also a service kit and the bearings on the armature is important also Its neccesary to protect you from damage
if you have a English Kango its hard and expensive to get a spare parts and most times the tools are worn in the front of the chisel stroke bolds do not get right close and the piston pins are worn it was a good tool about 20 years ago i have serviced much of them . but the first thing thats important that its air-tight in front of the chisel and everywhere thats having a mechanic/pneumatic duty

Milwaukee Services and fill k900k with (IMPORTANT) the right number

Kango 950k

it sounds like it needs service, service is taking lower unit apart cleaning and regrease with special kango grease, if unit was serviced recently or not used much, grease could be real old and dry, sometimes you have to warm up unit before they start hitting correctly,,also if used a lot could be dirt build up,inside bit holder.remove bit holder clean out dirt regrease with heavy bearing grease, just grease the lower part, not very much grease is needed

LOOKING FOR A MANUAL & INFO

Milwaukee now owns Kango, unfortunately I believe the 950sv is the old style. Parts are no longer avail. I have about 20 of the breakers. It is really too bad, they were great machines.
