Parts availability for WAP steam jenny

It would be most helpful to at least post the brand name of the unit, and you obviously have a computer, run a search for the parent company, call them and ask if replacement parts are available. If so, can you get a new switch. That simple.

Originally, they were made by the "Carpet Magic Company" which was acquired during the 1970's by "Hartz Mountain Corporation". Hartz Mountain Corporation (HMC) was ultimately sold to "Sumitomo Corporation" of Japan, in 2004.

The Carpet Magic trademark has lapsed, meaning that these machines are no longer manufactured by anyone.

Parts for these machines are still available in places, however there is no longer any manufacturer support available for these machines.

parts are expensive , only available from wap. a local vacuum repair shop should be able to fix you up with a hose and tools. wap ia a odd size . but they should be able to adapt / downsize the hose.

Yes, the parts are available to replace under $5.00, however a dealer will want to sell you a new tank. (this is accurate as of 2 months ago)

You might have over filled it. Call them at 1-800-798-7398
Have the model number, the country it was made in and the date it was made. All found on sticker on bottom of unit. They are foreigners that answer the phone, so be prepared to spell everything. It takes 3 weeks to get the parts but I found them to be inexpensive.

I used the straw to prime the lines and 50/50 mix of vinager and water and it worked perfectly. I then mixed the water container with the same mix and ran it through the system. All works fine now.
