Disc error I have a JVC TH-R1 Home cinema sytem and each time I try to load a disc, The message "Disc Error" or "No Disc" is displayed. how can I fix this and get spares for it. The unit is superb other than this and I would rather try and fix than replace if possible. thanks.

if there's no flashing red light on lens?.. the ribbon connector of lens is not properly connect, or change it if you notice that it has lines cracked. the bad performance of the disk spinning motor is also causing why was your unit displaying "no disc" error.

if your blu-ray is updateable then get update also try other disks

hello Setting the disc ejection lock
You can lock the disc tray to prevent the disc form
being ejected.
When the main unit is turned off, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds
If you attempt to open the disc tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE key, the disc tray does not open and
“LOCKED” appears in the display window.
To cancel the disc ejection lock, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds again when the
main unit is turned off.
“UNLOCKED” is displayed in the display window.
Note:
Before the main unit is turned off, DVD/CD function
should be selected.

wrong reganal code most likely there are sites were you can unlock your dvd player (hack it) so it will play disks from anyware

Commercial DVDs should play.
DVDs for recording may not be recognized by your drive. First make sure that the disc is blank. You must insert a blank disc of the proper format: DVD-R or RW, DVD+R or RW. Even with the proper format, some brands may not behave the same way as other brands.

Usually it helps a lot if you take off the upper case of the DVD player (7 screws) and search for the lens of the DVD/CD. Clean it with alcohol or terpentine or something like that and it will probably work afterwords. Good luck.

I found the solution for my DVD player you need to hold source down for 5 seconds which will unlock the disc.

Unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it in again
