Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

How do you get a page count from an HL 5140/

On the HL-5140, you can print out a config page which will show the page count on it by pressing down the Go button (the blue button). Hold it for a few seconds, until the config page starts to print out.

To find configuration page instructions and page count tips for other printers, copiers, and fax machines, check out How to Print Configuration Pages.

When printing on the 4250, the margins are moved to the right of the paper cutting off the text. This is an XP computer and the PCL and PS drivers have been tested...

I would check to make sure that the paper trays are set properly and paper size is being detected properly. Print out the configuration page and see if that prints correctly. If it shows the same shift in image, check the paper sizes that the configuration sheet shows to make sure it is reading the trays properly. If the trays are reading properly and test print prints properly, then it is either your driver or the software you are printing from that has a problem.

To print the configuration sheet, press the down arrow button until the screen reads "information", press checkmark and then use the down arrow until "configuration page" is highlighted and then press the checkmark again. After a few seconds your page will print.

Hi there,
It seems that " Print on both sides (Manually)" is selected in printing options., when you want to print any document Go to file Print > select printer and click properties and disable the Manual printing option in device settings.
You should be able to get printing without errors,
if the option is not checked then check for the default paper tray,
save the settings and reboot your laptop/desktop and restart printer as well so that settings should work properly and any given command gets clear from memory, If these all settings are ok, Uninstall the printer driver and download the latest version drivers from HP website and install see links below

I have a HP Colour LaserJet 2600n and am trying to find out how many pages I have printed on it since I got it 3 years ago. I also get the problem that the oage is covered with a faint blanket of toner....

You can print a configuration page using the control panel of the printer, it would have the option page count in that configuration page.

To print the Configuration page from the control panel
1. Press (LEFT ARROW) or (RIGHT ARROW) to select the Reports menu.
2. Press (SELECT).
3. Press (LEFT ARROW) or (RIGHT ARROW) to select Config Report.
4. Press (SELECT) to print the Configuration Report page

Page Counts. This section lists the total number of pages printed, the number of color
pages printed, and information about paper jams.
