My Neptune TL has the light indicating a locked lid, yet you can open and close the lid, but I cannot get the washer to start....any ideas?

I will give you a few things to try that are non technical and let’s see if the Control Board will let you in Service Mode. If so we will try lock and unlock the washer in Service Mode.
The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
Let enter Service Mode;
Enter the Service Mode by pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”
Board Output Test
While in Service Mode, pressing the Delicates key will begin the Board Output Test. This test turns on a
specified output after a key press. (Pressing the Delicates key again cancels the test.) All outputs
will be turned off after five (5) minutes.
Now Press the Colors / Jeans key this should lock the Left and Right Lid Locks….. did it?
If the lid locked now press the Extra Rinse Key and this should Unlock the Left and Right Lid Locks….. did it?
Let me know and we will go from there. I’m trying to get a feel for what Control Board functionality you have……Rich
Google "Sticky Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW" for the Service Manual and support for troubleshooting the OD error code.
LO error code:
Locked: Lid has failed to unlock -
the machine has repeatedly tried to
unlock the lid. Push lid closed to
make sure nothing from the inside is
pressing against the lid, preventing
unlocking.
Is that the issue? Have the Lid locks failed to release and you can't open the Lid?
Or have the Lid Locks released so you can open the washer lid but the error code LO remains?

Hello foxste, Have you power cycled the 120VAC to the washer? If not give that a try. If that doesn?t clear the Locked Green LED on the Console we would have to troubleshoot and find out if this is a failed Control Board or improper signaling from the Left and Right hand Lid Locks to the Control Board. How deep are you prepared to go with troubleshooting? It would involve removing the right hand Lid Lock Plug for starters. Both Lid Locks signal back to the Control Board in parallel for ?Lid Is Locked? the green LED light for Locked indication on the washer Console. If the Power cycle to the machine did not clear the issue we would need to roll up our sleeves and start troubleshooting or call in a repair service. I prefer to roll up our sleeves. Can you let me know if you want to DIY the fix and if so do you have a Digital Volt Meter for making low voltage measurements if we had to? Rich
Is your machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A TL? If you could confirm the model number.
