From the Tools menu, select Account Settings. The Account Settings dialog box appears. Select your Yahoo! Mail Plus account and click Properties. The Change E-mail Account dialog box appears. Click More Settings. The Internet E-mail Settings dialog box appears. Click the Advanced tab. In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) box, type 587. Error Code 1
Most likely this is temporary issue that will soon resolve itself.
"Error Code 1" is generally caused from having multiple browser windows
open or multiple tabs within the same browser open to your Yahoo! Mail
service.
If you are still receiving the error code, please try the following:
You can do either of two things:
In Internet Explorer, choose [Internet Options] under the [Tools] menu selection.
[Advanded] tab
scroll down to the "Security' section
UN-check the "Warn about invalid site certificates"
[OK] [OK] [OK]
close and restart Internet Explorer.
