My 52" flat panal Samsung LCD keeps turning on and off by itself

My 52" flat panel Samsung LCD keeps turning on and off by itself but never completely turns on. Samsung sent a tech to replace capacitors but problem still not fixed. I bought the TV 18 mths ago so it is out of warranty, so samsung wants to charge me about $400.00 to replace the main board.

That is the worst news you can receive from the manufacturer they pretty much shun you after the warranty has expired its very disconcerting and unfair to consumers I would make sure when you talk to them that the work that was done should have been under some warranty and if it was not the place the blame entirely on the technician who came in and tell them it was at least working to some extent cough cough before they sent someone who broke it even more if after this they dont comply boycot the brand and look for a new or gently used tv

Im terribly sorry to hear about this

Samsung 52" LCD TV has a bar down the middle of the screen.

that can be either a tconn issue about 60.00 or a bad LCD panel which is not repairable. I would assume its the Tcon board. You can get replacement Tcon from www.tvcircuitboards.com

Sharp AQUOS 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV

Press the menu button and scroll over to the setup sub category. Scroll down to reset and press enter. Select yes and then enter. Select yes again and press enter. The television will turn itself off and then back on.

If that basic reset doesn't work call 877-332-7867 to be walked through the no sound troubleshooting up to an INIT. I cannot put the steps for an INIT into print because any wrong move could erase everything from your television.

Keeps turning itself off.

Check the power supply board for overheated, bulging components, esp. the can capacitors. Replace with similar or higher rating caps you can order on the net. Hope this helps you.

My samsung lcd tv cycles on and off continuously. It started after I turned my samsung blue ray player on to eject a dvd

I replaced (2) capacitors which I purchased at Fry's Electronics for $1.99 each. It took me 1 hour to complete the entire job. You must remove the cover, and disconnect processor board.

Samsung 46" HDTV power keeps turning off after a period of time

Panal damage is a possibility however, you may also try to have a tech replace your mainboard since you have sound.
