Hello. I have a 50" TV and my power supply went bad, I replaced it with power supply from 46" TV. Image quality seems not as clear as before. Can it be because the power supply is from 46" TV?
Check the power supply part no. matching. If there is adjustment potentiometer for the supply voltages try adjusting to the required level of the voltage.

There are numerous conditions such as a bad power supply, sustain boards, or panel itself that can cause your problem. You will need to get a diagnosis to determine the problem.
Good day!!
That problem is usually cause of bad/faulty capacitors on the power supply board..So you have a better chances and easily locating the faulty capacitors if it is look like leak/bulged on the top..
So please try to follow this instruction on how to do that..
1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter..
Hope it helps you..

Replace the power supply, the transformers either went bad or the power supply has a bad circuit not letting the back light come on. I fix these problems on the samsungs all the time.
Probably the power supply that drives the video has gone bad. Samsung recommends the TV go to a service center. If you have some skill and are willing to try, open up the back of the TV, remove the shielding and look at the boards to identify any obvious damage. Leaking or bulging capacitors, soot, scorch marks are the obvious. (Other parts can have bad solder or tiny cracks that are hard to spot.)
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/q/HP-R4252 has reclaimed parts for this TV. These are parts from TVs that were damaged in shipping and were only run during quality control tests. They list several power supplies for the model so check what part number is actually installed (there is usually a label on the board).
