Try connecting the monitor to your computer via a VGA cable instead of DVI. (The blue instead of white cable)

Shuts off to a dark grey, turn VS power off>baon to display image

You may have failing DC filter caps in the power supply just like Viewsonic monitors you can see in my albums, you is about the same as 2235.
If you are not going to DIY you will be better off putting the money toward new monitor, estimate repair up to $100.

My screen keeps blanking out but will come back on if i shut down my computer alot and restart viewsonic vx2035wm

Hi,

There could be a problem on your Graphics card, if it keeps on turning off the display. (either, graphics card driver, or hardware problem).

Try removing the cable (either VGA or DVi) attached at the computer and see if there is a self test feature that will be displayed. If none, then the problem is on your viewsonic.

Hope this helps.

Monitor Keeps going off

As it's less than 3 months old the it is still under warranty so return it for replacement.

Vx2035wm

It sounds like your monitor is looking for an analog signal from the D-SUB connector while you are using the DVI connector. Go into the monitor's main menu and choose Input Select. Change the setting to Digital. You should now see yourr desktop.

Viewsonic vx2035wm monitor click sound

since you had a power surge, it sounds like you may have something wrong in your power supply. please check all standy voltages comming from this supply, if they are low, then expect to be replacing caps or leaky diods.
