You have to be very careful with the flat ribbon cables and be sure not to have an electro static discharge to the board while handling it but it is not that difficult of a repair. It is the board that is located at the top center of the back of the lcd panel. Depending on your problem, eg. line in picture, no picture with backlight.... it unfortunately only fixes about half of the units. The other half need lcd panels which are very expensive. hope this helps.

Sony Bravia TV vertical lines

Hi,

please run a channel scan on your tv before checking for the issue again. If the issue persists, please remove all accessories from the tv before restarting it. If necessary, you can then power cycle the tv. Otherwise, you can move onto running a factory reset on your Sony tv.

Thank you.

Sharp has 2 slow flash and 5 rapid flash what can be the issue?

I have no idea why you would change the power board 3 times, this is the one board that can be tested with a simple multi meter, voltages are marked on the board, ifor future reference you know the 5 volt standby is working, next thing to test is the PS_ON pin coming from the main board, there should be about 3 volts there when the set is turned on, if no voltage replace the main board, if normal power-on voltage test the other rails, if all good the power board is working. Also a tcon board will never give the issues you have, a bad tcon will give distorted picture or blue screen without a picture. Now for what's wrong, according to service lit the blink code you have is bad inverter-backlight issue, since this set is LED it doesn't have an inverter so it's a LED backlight issue. Replacing the backlight strips should correct your issue, unfortunately on a set this size and with it being edge lit replacing the strips isn't a real easy job, this set has a diffusion panel behind the panel (screen) and it has to be replaced correctly or the picture won't look right, also with this size panel extreme care must be taken when handling the panel, suction cups work the best for removing and replacing it. Good luck!

Have a Philips 55PFL5601/F7 TV that is flickering. Does this look like a tcon board issue or is it the main board? Or is it the LCD panel hoping it's not. youtu.be/ho5CbxNxG3U

The TCON board or the LCD panel is faulty. Can confirm by replacing the TCON board .

Hi, I have a much loved KDL50w829b Sony TV. It’s still responding to menu presses via the remote, but the image is as pictured. I have ordered a new TCON board, but I’m not sure if that is the likely...

I had same problem. Vertical banding means its not TCON - (timing controller) - these issues would be more likely horizontal in nature.
Probably the Main board needs replacing

Either the t con board is no good or the issue lies within your main board.
