If using the Card Reader -

The HP all-in-one has detected an error with the memory card.

1. More than one memory card is inserted in the HP all-in-one.

2. An incompatible camera is connected through the camera port.

3. A memory card is inserted and a digital camera is connected at the same time.

Solution:

Remove and reinsert the memory card. It may be inserted incorrectly. If the problem continues, the memory card may be defective.

Remove one of the memory cards. Only one memory card can be used at a time.

Check the user guide that came with the camera to see if it supports PictBridge. If it does not, try using the cable that came with the camera to connect the camera to the USB port on the back of the HP all-in-one instead of to the HP all-in-one camera port. If the camera does support PictBridge, make sure the camera is set to PictBridge mode. See the user guide that came with the camera for instructions on how to do this.
Remove the memory card or disconnect the camera. Only one can be used at a time.

You might try the following - Reformat the memory card in the camera or format the memory card in a Windows XP computer by selecting the FAT format.
Hope this helps!

My HP PSC 1610 All-IN-ONE will not read SD-cards. We have had this problem in the past and now that my son's birthday came, I cannot upload pictures to my computer.

Please try unplugging the Printers USB cable reboot the PC, and after it is at desktop, THEN plug in the printer, Now it should work OK, Also Try ANOTHER USB port too.
If that doesn't work, again unplug the printer and reinstall the drivers from the DVD. etc. Now try again. If it still doesn't work, perhaps it is the SD card? In fact, I guess FIRST you should check that SD card and see if it can actually be read?

Card reader not working?!

Have you tried another memory card?

Some devices can read SD but not SDHC. If your memory card is 1 or 2 gig, it's SD, if it's larger, it's SDHC which is not backwards compatible with SD.

Based on the age of the PSC 1350, I would bet it's a SD-only device.

Remove memory card HP PSC 1610 All-in-One

Usually the memory cards fit in with a push. But if you push them further in one more time, they are ejected. Do let me know if that worked or not. Otherwise I will search for some other step.

Trying to import pics from Canon SD1100 via HP PSC 2175 printer

Do you have access to another card to try in the printer to see if it works, this would help isolate whether it is actually your card or the reader?
Can you connect your camera directly to your PC via a usb cable to upload directly to your PC? Or do you have a card reader on your PC that you can try the card in? If not, you can buy a USB to SD adapter for about $15, so you may try that.
It could be that the card somehow became damaged, and may be unusable.
Those are a few options you can try anyway.
good Luck ;)

HP PSC 1610 All-In-One - Memory card Error

Pulling out the card without using the 'Safely remove Hardware feature' risks corrupting data on the card. Reformat the card in the camera. Also with compact flash it is a simple matter to wreck the some of the tiny pins in the card slot. Check out both these and come back
