lens cap means a cap in your camera lens, you have to remove it manually with your hand and not just a push buttons.

Did you lose your button?, Or are you new to the camera and need instruction aon how to use it?

That model has a removable lens; take it off, look for the hair, and blow it off.

Go into menu, setup function, turn OFF "conversion lens" or anything like that. NOTE: a conversion lens is a lens that screws onto front of lens of your camera and the flash would get blocked by it, so there is a function in the menu that turns the flash off when a conversion lens is attached to the camera. If this works, STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH THE MENU TILL YOU READ THE MANUAL. LOL.

sorry but the dmc-fz7 does not have a zoom ring only a zoom control on the top right.
