Iphone 3G locked after upgraded from OS 3.1.2 to OS 3.1.3.

I have just upgraded my iphone 3G from os 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 and now i cannot use my iphone because it is locked. I didn't know that upgrading jailbroken iphone 3G from os 3.1.2 to os 3.1.3 will be locked again and unusable. I am searching for a solution in google and youtube but i couldn't find a solution that fits to this problem.
Can anyone know how to solve this? What should be the first step. I was not able to back up my iphone and i am very upset because it might delete my files if i am going to jailbreak again my iphone. All i need is to retrieve my files (e.g. contacts, pictures and messages) and downgrade my os to 3.1.2.

Hi Karin, to best of my knowledge you cannot update a 3G much beyond iOS 4.2.1 or so. I think even the 4G does not allow newest iOS 8.1.2 - the 4S does.
Even if you mean Mac OS the newest version is 10.10 - 11.1 may be in beta, but not anything that would effect your 3G.
iPhone 3G has an older OS and I don't think it supports MMS. You could try to do a software update to see if a newer OS includes a better IM client that supports MMS, or you could upgrade your phone to a 4 or better and those will definitely support it. Be forewarned, if your current phone is running the original version of IOS that came with it, upgrading to a newer OS will make it feel slower as newer OSes have more features and stuff going on. Alas, the iPhone 3G is 5 generations ago, you really should upgrade to a newer phone.

Alright, Step one-Breathe.
Restore your iPhone to the most updated form of OS, and then repeat the jailbreaking process again by downgrading to the most resent hacked version of the OS.
Here is simple guide for those Users who will be first time upgrading their iPhone 2.2 or 2.2.1 to firmware 3.0. The guide is applicable for Upgrading iPhone 2G/3G 2.2 or 2.2.1 to OS 3.0 and also for iPod Touch. Please note in order to upgrade iPhone to firmware 3.0 you must have installed iTunes 8.2.
How to Upgrade iPhone 3G 2.2/2.1 to 3.0 firmware
1. Connect your iPhone 3G to computer
2. Open iTunes 8.2
3. Select your iPhone under Devices in the Source List on the left.
4. In the iPhone Summary pane, click Check for Update.
5. Click Download and Install. Do not disconnect your iPhone until the update has finished
That’s it, Once update is finished your will have iPhone 3G running latest firmware 3.0.
Jailbreaking is possible. But not software unlocking. For that you must buy something like a Turbo Sim. For jailbreaking try the program called Quickpwn
