I just bought a motorola E815 cell phone and it will not charge

I just bought another motorola E815 cell phone and it will not charge. Either by the elect charger or the car charger. The new charger will work on my old phone. and the new battery will charge in my old phone. In the new phone it says unable to charge and the battery icon disappears as soon as you plug in the charger. My charger will not charge new phone, so I am pretty sure it is in the phone any suggestions?

Remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.Hope this helps!

Most Motorola phones don't work with the charging cable plugged in, as a safety measure. Unplug the charging cable from the phone and it will start working.

Leave it on charger on a while. And then turn on.
If no luck try to open and clean it inside.
If than is not enough phone have not contact with power.
That is usually for old phones just don't turning on.

Master Clear??
I looked everywhere for this. Nobody could help me at Motorola. Bell Mobility then told me to bring my phone into a shop. I didn't want to do that, so I kept pushing to be put through to a tech. The tech I got new exactly what I needed, and he gave me a code to try:

236197

I punched it in, and voila! Master clear on my Bell Mobility Motorola E815.

It sounds like one of the charging prong contact is lose inside.
to determine this turn off your phone and try to put it to charge.
if the phone powers up by it self. then that is the issue. and only someone with the right tools and knowledge can solder the contact/connector back the the main board.
