Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me figure this one out. I have a Front Loader Whirlpool Washing Machine AWM312/3 that will do everything except for the spin cycle. I have also noticed that the door does not stay locked for 2 minutes after it finishes it's cycle.
Can anyone help me with this.

I would recommend getting the service manual for your model as some models have clutches that control spin and others have belts. The service manual would be the best route if you are planning on repairing this yourself. If you would like the service manual let me know and I will post a link to where you can get one emailed to you.
I had the same problem, caused by a broken heating element in the door lock assembly. The bimetal strip will not heat up, there is no door lock delay, and there's no spin cycle.

Hi, thanks for your fast response. I don't have the service manual for the machine. I have had a look at the back of the machine and notice that it is belt driven. But, if you could post me the link that would be great!!

Door of front loader is jammed shut agter end of wash. I sude to be able to get it to open when this happened occasionally by giving the door a bit of a thump with my hand. Has not responded this time to this treatment.
