I am using a computer with Windows 7 64-bit and the printer is Panasonic DP-1520P. It is connected as I can print a test page from the printer properties, but when I go further into "preferences" the pull-down bars for paper size, media type, and paper source are blanked. I run into the same problem when I try to print from PDF or Excel file. There may be a compatibility with the OS, or I may not have the correct driver. Please assist.
1st You download Printer Driver.

After this install the Printer driver in the system.

Hi, I have solved my problem posted 5/2/08. Download the gdi driver from Panasonic website as I did above.
Install printer via Control panel, "Add printer" and browse to locate driver. If you do it automatic through the USB it will not work. Mine WORKS now!! Do check that the paper size is A4 also.
All the best...

well if you really needed a pdf printing concern, you may add an option which is Multi Page Description Language Controller Module. the post script printing language will be activated and you won't have to wait for the computer to process the pdf document on a gdi format (microsoft). what's more is that your mac computer can also directly print to the dp-8045.
that's it

The users of this website should note that the answer from the expert would lead you to download a software called Driver Detective, which after you download and install, identifies the status of all the drivers on your computer. When you request to update the drivers, Driver Detective ask you to register it - and this is not a free software!
I don't want to say that this is a scam, but they certainly wouldn't give you a straight solution to the problem you address before you pay for their software. There is no free lunch after all!
