Also if you know how to get a broken half of a 4" screw out of a piece of solid oak, I would appreciate the advice.

I'm sorry. Those are not for my bed. We bought a twin over full bunk bed, and have no idea how to attach the extension for the bottom bunk making it a full sized bed.
My daughter will be home at 5. At this point, If you can help I will tip you very well. i wanted this surprise for her so much.
btw: what category should I have checked for this? none of them fit.
Also, any ans. to my ? re: getting that screw out?
