I have a wireless G router with a remote that connects to the router. It connects to the router but will not go on out to the internet. When I type IP config and check, it gives the wrong weird IP address. I have reformatted the hardrive and reloaded everything trying to fix the problem and it's still doing the same thing. Could it be a driver problem? What's wrong? Help!!

If you are getting IP address like 169.254.x.y ( x and y might be any numbers), then it is autogenerated IP address.
Computer generates this IP address when it doesn't get IP address from the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you have correct network key or password.
Check the wireless settings of the router.
Make sure that there is no static IP address assigned to the wireless network connection.

Hi, commonly these TVs use a network cable for connecting to Internet through a router, another TVs are wireless enabled, in this case you need a WiFi router to get Internet in your smart TV. The process is similar as you connect a computer to Internet but the keyboard of your TV is the remote control, some smart TVs can work with standard wireless keyboards and mices to surf Internet as with a computer.

How can I connect the RMC30C1 Samsung Remote COntrol to my Samaung 8000 Series TV

No simple answer. I have the series 9 samsung.

Basically you need to connect the tv to the internet, and the remote control to the internet and then connect the remote to the tv. There are a few other ways but this is what I did for my Series 9 TV: Before you start check your wireless internet security number for your broadband router. If unsure check the instructions that came with your wireless router as you will need to type in the internet address and setup wireless security key, otherwise your exposed to other people using your broadband download.

Step One: Menu setting on TV go to PlugPlay- Network - set it up. To find Menu TV Control on remote, flick your finger right to left to scroll to new hidden screen - menu appears! Step Two: Test network connection, (you should set up wireless security (WEP/WAP) to match your broadband security key) Step Three: Services Tab/Setting icon/remote settings/network/wait until it finds network/select network/add security internet WEP/WAP Key - check IP Service Provider if unsure. When Remote is connected to the internet tap bottom right button to connect tv. Tab appears on the tv 'allow or not allow remote' select allow using the TV navigation button. Simple really. Mike

No internet connection

When connecting the devices make sure that you turn on the device in this manner: modem (wait for the lights to be solid) then router, then the computer.

Check if you can get online, if not then follow the steps below:

1. Open a web browser and type this in the address bar: 192.168.1.1

2. Then you will be in the setup page of the router. You need to know what is your connection type obtained from your ISP.

If DHCP, internet connection type should be: Automatic Configuration - DHCP should be selected.

If PPPoE, select PPPoE and type the username and password provided by your ISP.

3. Then save the changes.

Once that the internet connection is working from the PC hardwired connected to the router, then check the wireless settings under the wireless tab. Take note of the SSID, wide channel, and the wireless security and preshared key.

Put those settings on the wireless adapter of the laptop and you should be able to get online.

I hope this works! Good luck!

US Robotics Wireless Router problem

Sounds like some settings on the wireless router might be setup wrong...like DNS. While hooked into wireless, try going to a command prompt and type ipconfig /renew. Once it refreshes, type in ipconfig /flushdns. Try the Internet.

If that doesn't work then check the settings on the wireless router and see if the DHCP is setup with a static IP or dynamic one.

Depending on what that says, I can provide next steps.
