Check video connections first. If previously working, confirm screen is in proper setting to allow play. Get small TV with RCA Video connectors and connect your DVD to small TV to confirm you have video coming out of player. if no video then it's your player. Replace player! If you have video then replace screen
If your indash radio does not have RCA outputs, you can do two things. You can purchase a line level converter and hook it to one of the rear speakers. This will allow you to tap into the speaker wire, then convert the signal to RCA. Then you plug your RCA cables in there. The other (my recommendation) is to purchase an "add an amp" wiring harness. This harness will install between your radio and vehicle harnesses. It will have RCA output and remote wire. Then you run those back to your amp and there you go. You can find these at the scosche or PAC websites. You can also try www.crutchfield.com
you do not need a code. Pull out the radio, take the pink wire, the parking brake wire, and cut it so you can connect it straight to the radio ground wire. This will tell the unit that the parking brake is always on.
if you can not find wire for reverse just hook into backup light wire. I do not know what color wire is for backup lights off hand. but if you put brake on,car in reverse, you can probe the wires to see which is the backup ones. this way you may be able to hook into them under dash or at the mud guard on bottom of the door that covers the wires to the back of vehicle.
To bypass the parking brake you should connect the parking brake wire from the unit to ground. It is better to do it via a switch because is illegal to watch video while you're driving. :)
