Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Five blinks means AKB circuit
(automatic kine’ bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds
then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video.
Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check
Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try
turning up screen slightly. There
might be a backlight and/or an inverter board issue. It could also be due
to the inverter circuits for the backlights. There could also be a screen
driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire inverter board. All
this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for checking the
internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages running even
when the set is switched off. The cost to change the inverter board including
labor would be around $250, if you get this done by a professional. Please do accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

I don't know a lot about circuit boards as far as repairing them but I have changed entire boards out before. Would you by chance have the part # to the inverter board or know where I can find it so I could get a price on one. Thanks for your help
