I just replaced the color wheel on my 2005 hl-p6163w television. Everything seems to work fine, but now the color is real bad. People are real blue and when the screen is dark its loaded with green. Even the blue menu is a rusty color.. any advise. Mark
On the front of the DMD Board to the right of the fan is a sticker that says CN801. There is a small jumper there. Remove this after replacing the color wheel and it will fix the color issues.
I just had a service tech out and replaced the color wheel. now i have the same issue with the color...the people all look blue. He told me that now the the digital board is bad. It's the board were all of the connections go. I'm not convinced, as I remember reading something about color settings needing to be adjusted after color wheel replacement.

Replaced the color wheel, had the color problem, pulled the jumper wire, tv would not come on, indicating "Lamp, standby." Replaced the jumper wire, tv came on but with same color problem.
