Hello. I have a Whirlpool built in electric convection oven model GBD307. The display is does not display any value but the light key turns on/off the light inside the oven. Intermittently, the display shows a F2 fault code and a E6 error code. According to the code explanation it's "CANCEL key drive line open. recommended repair are:
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection. (tried this still problem)
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 sec, replace keypad. (Where is the CANCEL key?
3. Replace control. (If this is required where is the best place to order?)
Thanks / appreciate you assistance.

We had the same error codes F2 E6. We were told to turn off the breaker to the oven for 5 minutes and then turn it back on and it will reset itself. We tried it and it worked! Whirpool wanted to send someone out on a service call. Thank goodness we didn't!
Replace the 22uf-50volt capacitor. Looking at the glass display bottom right corner you need to flip the board to the tan side in that same spot you will see two small caps. You want to replace the smaller one. I replaced both for $2.00. Radio shack has them in stock.
We repair this circuit board quite often. F2/E6 is caused by failure of control board. These can definitely be fixed and returned almost as fast as buying new.
Problem: no control panel display oven not working.
I replaced the control device in the Whirlpool built in oven
RBD305PDB14..and still does not work..

The control panel is out. Whirlpool appears to have had a major issue with this one. Part 8302319. It's on back order until 12/25/08, as many, many of us have had this thing break all about the same time. Interesting, huh? Wouldn't you think this would be a recall due to a faulty part? I would. Whirlpool says no. I'm fairly disgusted.
