The B & D MM575 mower is not battery operated nor is it cordless. CMM1200 CMM1936 CMM1836 are the currently available cordless mowers. You can buy a battery from B &D, they list it here:

When battery has been fully charged, the charge only lasts 1/2 hour before it needs to be re-charged.

I would assume that the battery is old. With time batteries looses a bit of charge, and their life get worse. You should just buy a new battery and the device will work longer for sure.

Disconnects

Make sure all connections are good, check line cord and make sure the little clips are still there, could be loose connection. And if battery's are old. You have to build a life to the battery's, if you keep putting it back on charge all the time your battery life span will be shorter. You build the life of the battery, by the way you charge them, if you only let it discharge for 5 min. and keep putting it back on charge the it will start cutting off after 5 min.

I just purchased a Toro e-cycler cordless mower, model # 20360. I tried plugging in the charger to the Ac outlet and the mower receptacle. My understanding is that the charger light is suppossed to be...

It could be that the batterys don't need to be changed and shouldn't be unless fully discharged, if u charge before the batteries are fully discharged u run the risk of damaging the batteries. The problem is sometimes batteries get what is called a memory charge, this means if u use your lawnmower for a short time than charge it and u do this repeatedly the batteries will only discharge for this sort time and will only charge for a sort time. Than if u need it for a big job it will seem that u have only operated it for a little time and u need to plug it in. The only way to fix the batteries is buy new ones, that way they always tell u to always fully discharge before recharging your batteries.

Delta cordless power tool batteries CL 180B

My batteries also would not charge and I thought it was the charger. I then used some fine sandpaper and cleaned up the connectors on the batteries and I now have one charging. I will try the other one as soon as the first one is done. It looks like the charger doesn't contact the battery in the same places as the tools and they get dirty. I love my set and don't want to loose them. I just don't use them enough to need charging often.

CM1000 quality cordless mower?

I have owned a cm1000 for about 10 years and have been very pleased with it. I received a replacement charging circuit board as a recall item but other than that no problems. I can usually mow my front and back yards about twice on a charge. I think I will replace the batteries this year for the first time because they are not performing well.

Batter life in the second season

When batteries are only used seasonally, and they are stored, they can become damaged from weather or from storing them when they are not fully charged. In general, batteries used seasonally will have a shorter lifespan, so it sounds like you likely need a new battery. Check out http://www.batteryinternational.com/electric-lawn-maintenance-batteries.html for a replacement, and be sure to charge it fully before storing.

Changing batteries in black and decker cordless lawnmower

You can find parts information and exploded views for your mower here. You'll need to pick the series mower you have from the list. The service site's home page is here. At the bottom of the center pane is box where you can enter your model number to find the manual. With the views they give, you should be able to get the mower apart to replace the batteries yourself. Good luck on the project!

Replacement batterys for cmm1200 black&decker electric mower I have a Stealth Black & Decker rechargable mower and would like to know what battery I need and can I replace it myself Thanks Cherie

I discuss the solution to your problem in my review. I am using a replacement AGM Lead Acid battery that increased my mowing distance and does not take more power to charge because the battery has an lower internal resistance. The battery is a Power Sonic, PSH-12180FR, 21Amp Hour unit. You will need to order two of them.

We should all do our part to save the enviroment and encourage the growth of the solar and wind power industries.

Cordless electric lawn mowers go a long ways towards these goals. I recently purchased the Black & Decker Cordless Electric Lawnmower the CMM1200.

In the review I describe how to upgrade the mower to mow over 9,000 SQFT!

I hope my review will help you make a decision about our future.

Short battery life

$orry, theres no fix to this, after a while batterys begin to die and the life becomes shorter. this could be due to leaving it on charge all day and night and not letting it frequently loose and gain charge again. even my laptop battery has began to lose its battery length - but ive had my battery for a long time. purchase a new battery and try to keep from leaving the A/C adapter in over night. you should notice alot longer battery length after that. rate me :)
