Not much - I saw one quote at 40, one at 50 watts rms. Strange that the manual doesn't include specs.

Hi what amp do i use on my starsound ssw-f1-1242 slim sub

any amplifier u use will make the sub work ( if configured for subwoofer play)

my recommendation is that u use between 400watt rms to 1000watt rms ( the smaller the box used for the sub, the more power you can give it)

please note though that playing at high power levels exceeding manufacturers specs needs someone who knows what they are doing (when it sounds distorted decrees power)

also make sure to match the headunits output voltage to the amplifiers voltage (eg. if the headunit output is 4 volt, then make sure to adjust the sensitivity on the amplifier to be at 4 volt as well)

hope this helps and let me know if you have any other question

I have a set of kenwood 5-way 7x10'' speakers (4oahm,90watt rms,500watt max) and a kenwood 12'' sub (4oahm, 200watt rms, 400 max, 800 peak) and my question is if the kenwood kac-706 4ch amp...

Did you google for the specs? Gotta be there. Meanwhile the amp will drive your speakers - the issue is if the amp has enough power to drive the speakers to the volume level you want without distortion. Whatever you decide be careful with speaker wiring and do not hook them up in parallel lest you want to toast your amp stages to a crisp.

look on the bottom of subwoofer should say like olm2412 olm1612 olympus the 1612 is the rms and speaker size 2412 is 2400 rms and the 12 stands for 12 inch subwoofer.i think thair is only 2 modles . also u have 4 u would need a 10,000 rms amp if thay are the olm2412s or 6,000 rms amp to push 4 olm1612. as far as box building info i think you should call maxxsonnics. 847-540-7700 talk to mike

Ok...im getting a speaker that has an 8 nominal load and 600W peak 400Wprogram and 200W RMS...two...what is RMS and what kind of amp do i need so that i dont get screwd over. thank you bunchesand also i...

RMs is the average power (really basically) > You need to get an amp that is around 150W - 180 WRMS. You need to be really specific about the rms. Dont let guys tell you 1000 W peak etc. Peak is term that can often have several meanings, but true RMS is the norm standard for assesing proper power in pro gear. Whatever you find check out the specs for yourself in writing!!!
Hope it helps
