I have these two speakers from 2000 and still work perfectly... I decided to make a home theater with these two included...Could you tell me which amplifier, center and rears speakers I should buy so work all at the best?
The best sound would be with all speakers matched, same brand, same vintage. Any good quality amp with 5.1 and higher should work well. Stay away from low end brands.

I would certainly try it!
It may or may not work depending upon what went bad in the sound part of the TV. Most likely it will work because the majority of the sound failures are in the power circuitry.
Just be very careful in unboxing the sound system, you may end up having to take it back if it doesn't work.
Any sound system that includes as inputs "Auxiliary Audio" should work. (2 RCA jacks) Your TV may have a surround sound capability, but you'll have to check your manual.

This may not be Dependant on the Music or DVD, but with the setting on the Home Theater system. Try out all the modes - such as 2 Speaker, Multi etc. within the Home Theatre system. In one of the mode only the center speaker works.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I'd look for another base unit identical to yours (SA-HT500), say, on eBay and buy a BluRay for future compatibility with any components you might decide to upgrade to. Or just skip that part and upgrade now.
On page 6 it specifically says to use only the supplied speakers.
"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit and sound quality will be negatively affected."
I'd take that to mean you really don't want to redeploy the speakers to other electronics either. Theater in a Box is designed as a package. That proprietary cable connector is a huge clue and disincentive to attaching it to other electronics.
all you need to do is by a set of new speakers same size and have then wire up to the player they will work just as well almost all speaker oulets sell speaker packs of 2 or 4 or 5
