they are for windows XP. there is no drivers for vindows 7, but you can try to install the xp drivers

Sound should already be on the laptop. Just make sure the volume is turned up and that it is not muted. Look at your Audio/Sound properties to check the volume and mute options.

If sound is not already on it, that probably means you need to go and download and install the Audio drivers.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.

Hello chandira_gan, i found latest driver for your Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 from website fully compatible with Windows Vista, Xp. Click save driver to your computer, install the driver, don't forget to restart the computer. Copy and paste link into your browser and press enter.

You need to get an XP driver for your system's audio. Try going to your laptop manufacturers website and go to support/drivers. There put in your ,odel number and the operating system you are currently using and a list of available drivers will appear. If that doesn't work, try to search for an available driver on the web. There are free sites that host driver downloads for people who have changed OS from the default OEM that came with the laptop originally.
