I placed a brand new black cartridge yesterday, i made 10 copies and then i have problem to print black or coulor pages. When i give the instruction to copy a blank page is coming out and power button blinks. Maybe the colour cartridge is dry bacause is very old, can this prevent my machine to make printouts???

There are a few steps to take.... try a few head print head cleanings ... then attempt to print a test page ...next clean the catridge contacts as this fixes lots of problems ... just follow the instructions on the hp support site .... a big problem with underused inkjet type printers is the print heads dry out over time... you can rejuvinate a dry print head by removing it and setting it on a moistend papertowel overnight ... use distilled or spring water... you could also simply replace the colour cartridge

The heads are at the end of the cartridge??..... where the ink is spreaded. I cleaned all the cartridge several times, i try calibration test, clean test from software but no result.Ink level states full black and half color (this i believe is dried). I used other laptop, i remove and reinstalled the software again
Have in mind that i dont want to spent more money for this printer to buy color cartridge because i prefer to buy with less money a brand-new printer.
