Batteries draining problem?

My phone heat up during charging and the batteries don't last for more than
12 hour . I change with a new batteries "not samsung" brand. still
won't keep the charge. Should I buy brand name batteries or there is
something draining this phone.

This problem can be caused by many factors. Use of the phone can drain battery life for example if you use the phone for browsing the web or as an mp3 player, even to make or recieve calls the battery life will not be as long as it would if just on standby. also if the battery hasn't been conditioned or is being over charged this can also lead to short battery life.To resolve the problem try conditioning th battery, basically let the charge drain completely out of the phone until the phone actually switches off, then charge the phone for 24 hours. Next time the battery goes ded only charge for the recommended charging time (this info can be found either in your phone user guide or by contacting the customer service department of your network provider).

How do I stop the battery from draining after only a few hours.

try letting the battery completely die and recharge it. Do this 2 or 3 times. Sometimes "topping up" a partially charged battery puts a memory into the battery and it wont allow you to do full charge.. I let my Nokia get to its last legs before replacing the battery with a spare and then fully charge the other one. Both batteries are now at least 6 years old.. Yes , its an old phone...

most companies recommend 24 hours charge time unless otherwise state in the manuals for the camera or rechargeable batteries. while with some cameras or rechargeable batteries you may be able to use right out of the box! also if are using third party rechargeable batteries then you should follow the instructions of the battery maker.

Battery goes flat very quickly

Also check the settings on the phone, if you have disabled power saving features that dim the screen after so many seconds then the backlight will drain the battery very quickly. Use name brand batteries and not the ones that come with the phone. If you have not tried to buy a new battery yet, the ones that come with the phone can often ****. Finally, make sure that you do not have a short in your wall charger and that the first time you use a new battery you charge it fully to begin with and don’t charge it again until it is completely depleted. Supposedly newer batteries do not have to be primed, but I find it is a good practice anyway.

DSealed Lead Acid Batteries: 12v 7ah; belongs in a Liftmaster LA400 gate control box. Can these batteries be charged using a trickle charger? I'm trying to find out if it's the battery not holding a charge...

Yes you can charge the 12 volt bttery on a trickle charger. You should use a 1 amp or less charger. Check the battery every 1/2 hour or so for heat. If it get's hot you should stop charging. Power packs that have a 12 volt rating will charge your battery safer and better but will take longer (like a cell phone charger) look at the voltage ratings on the charger. You will have to adapt the plug to hook it up and test for correct pos. and negative connections. The 7amp hour batery should be fully charged by a .5 amp (500ma) charger in about 14 hours (multiply the amps times hours of charge and do not go over the 7amp hours of the battery when deciding how long to charge). After charging check voltage, it should be around 12. Let the battery set for a few hours (overnight) and check the voltage again. It should be around 12 still. A fresh charge will usually show a higher reading (called a surface charge) than a battery sitting around. 4.5 v will not operate your device, 9.5 v or higher should.

Motorola v710 cell phone

Is the battery lithium -ion? If not, you have an older generation of battery.

Having mentioned that, some batteries need an introductory "conditioning period". Continue your excercise of charging and draining (dont drain too too low) and hopefully you will start seeing some decent longer lasting charges.

Hope that helps!
