Vertical red line on 55 hitachi plazma

I have a 2yr old plasma with very little use and when i turn it on for the first ten minutes it's crystal clear. Once it's warm it develops a red vertical about 12 inches long. I've shut down viewing for fear of burn in. Is this fixable? It seems like it would be because the first ten minutes it looks great. If you can let me know what my options are I would be very appreciative.

I have a problem. When the TV is on randomly red lines will fill the screen. spaced around an inch apart. they will appear and disappear.
It is more annoying then a bad problem.

Help plz?

Vertical red line on 55 hitachi plazma

The vertical line, in my case, was due to a bad contact on the flexible printed circuit. I fixed the problem by using a piece of a rubber eraser to apply downward pressure on the flexible circuit as shown in the picture. To locate the faulty section lightly push on the flexible circuit from lef to right untill the line dissapears.

Black vetical line

It's either x-main or logic board... Take it to a qualified shop and I think you'll be impressed... Most of these are repaired at module level now and it makes the repair relatively inexpensive.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
