Dell 1503FF flat panel monitor is blank

I have a 2001 Dell 1503FF flat screen that has suddenly gone on the fritz -- it shows two green LED lights in the lower right corner of the frame next to "1" and "2", the power switch won't light up at all and the whole screen is blank. I've tried totally disconnecting the power and computer cables, turning off the computer and reconnecting everything, then turning it back on, but the situation remains the same.

    As soon as current fails or plug is pulled out Monitor Dell1503FP does not start when current is on again, remains black. The two green lights on the right light up, but not the power green light. Restarts sometimes after several times disconnecting from mains.

    Now monitor is lit, but the first green light (from left to right) is lit. Please give some advise and please explain the meaning of that commands.

If you power switch does not light up. It possible that the Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT) is shorted.

Monitor is blank. Green power light is on steady.
Self test failed means Monitor is bad.

Check input settings, whether DVI mode is selected.

Ok, another words, monitor powers up for few seconds and shuts down by itself. If green LED on the front panel turns off as well or stays on?
If stays on, then inverter turns into protection mode because of old backlight lamps.
If it turns off in same time with an image on the screen, then there are some bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.

No. It is not a Flat Screen issue. It is a CPU issue. You CPU is not sending signal to your flat screen so the green light is flashing. Try to:

1. Reset OR
2. Unplug the CPU case, Open the CPU, the interchange the RAM modules, OR
3. Same with step 2 but unplug and then plug back in all expansion cards like audio, video cards, etc.

It seems that your system needs discharging from a frozen state.

Depending on when you bought it. There should be at least a one year warranty. If its still under warranty have dell replace it.

17 in dell monitor
Please disconnect the Monitor Data cable from Computer.
If you see Dell Colored bars, it means, monitor is working fine,
If still black, please ask for replacement, since Monitors have 3 years of warranty if not purchased with the computer.

Now connect the cable back to computer and turn the computer off by holding the power button on computer and turn it back on...

Blinking Green shows that computer is in sleep mode......

Hope this should resolve the issue.
