I have no experience what so ever with sansui direct view Tvs. I would try one of the other experts. I am mainly projection and DLPs

Usually, once child lock is on, the set will not respond to the front panel buttons and you need the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on. Then go into the menu and turn child lock off.

On your television, it has an initialization code. To get to this menu, press menu 2470. The menu will say "Initialize." Highlight this and press Enter. This will reset the TV back to factory settings. WARNING: This will also delete any user settings, e.g. color, channel settings, input labels, or other. After you press "Initialize" the TV will shut off and restart automatically. You should be unlocked at this point. Hope this helped.

You need to be more specific with the model number. Most Sansui TVs have model numbers like "SAN2701" plus a version letter like "Version A"

Additionally, procedures for removing the Child Lock, Panel Lock and TV Lock are in the users manual.

In some models, for the V-Chip, the original code is 000000, if you want to clear the code, please press the keys VOL + and VOL - on the front panel at the same time.The password of the TV's V-Chip Set up or Movie V-Chip Set up may be changed at any time. Press UP or DOWN to input the password,then press to select OK or Cancel. Press menu to confirm your input.
