This is a common problem with laptops in general, I know because I have fixed this problem in quite few. What happens is that every time you open and close the lid you bend the wires from the monitor to the mother board. Over time like any wire that is bent back and for will eventually break. The reason it works in some positions is because the insulation around the wire holds it close together and in certain positions the wire connects. Unfortunately since there is something like 21 wires finding the broken one can be difficult because the insulation will be intact. I generally just buy from ebay a new monitor cable that suits the laptop and then the fun begins. Dismantling the laptop, If your game try it otherwise give it to someone that knows how to do it. Good luck.
I think the problem might be in your laptop screen, did you try to turn it on in different positions,I mean the part between keyboard and screen might be broken.I suggest you first reinstall windows/mac or whatever, then try in different positions(move you'r screen up down),and if nothing work, take it on service :/
I'm sorry that the screen goes black shortly after turning on the camcorder. I suggest that you perform a manual power reset and check the operation. Follow the steps to perform a manual power reset:
Turn off the camcorder.
Disconnect AC power adapter.
Remove the battery pack.
Remove the lithium button-cell battery.
Move the POWER switch to the CAMERA position for 15 seconds.
Move the POWER switch to the OFF position.
Reinsert the lithium button-cell battery.
Reconnect the AC power adapter or reinsert the battery pack.
This can happen when there is two problems.. One the computer might have been affected by virus.. Or the other thing might be the OS corrupted.. Try to get into safe mode and check if the system is working fine.. If it works well there try to do a system restore to a place wr it was working well.. If in safe mode also it doesnt work well then go ahead and reinstall the OS...
Hi I've repaired a lot of these monitors and every one seemed to do something strange. In this case my first thought is that somehow he monitor firmware got zapped when the card was damaged. Although this could certainly fall into the category of an open ground in the cable. My suggestion at this point would be to take it to a reputable repair person and get their estimate or take a look at www.micromendllc.com.
This sounds like you have a short in the LCD ribbon cable and it will need replacing, in most cases you will have to replace the screen but if you can find the exact ribbon cable, replacing should do the trick.
Its the monitor. first I highly suggest upgradeing your computer. But the problem is that over time the connection port in the monitor that hooks the wire up to the computer gets worn down and the solder begins to weaken. And eventully a connection becomes loose or breaks and when the cable is at a certain angle or is moved around the screen can change colors. So if you have this problem jiggle the cable a bit or try to find a position you can put the cable in so that it doesent move around too mutch.
