t.v. will not tune. It flashes from red to blue but picture does not come on. I tried to unplug t.v for awhile to see if it would reset. When power is tuned back on it just startes to flash again.

Sony bravia kdl55hx729 3d led tv turns on 3 seconds shows picture than four red flashes

Hello,
the error light sequence that you are seeing is indicating a "backlight error". Most likely you have a bad inverter board -the board that powers up the back-lights behind the display panel. They might be available via ebay if you are a DIYer, or you need to call for sony service.
Good Luck!

My polaroid flm 3201 tv won't turn on

This is an indication of a protective shutdown. During the startup process, a problem was detected and the unit shutdown to prevent further damage. There's not a lot to go one here. Some measurements need to be taken in side the unit to be sure. A common failure is the capacitors on the power supply board. Any local service shop should be able to get you a reasonably detailed repair estimate. Post the diagnosis here and we should be able to walk you through the actual repair.

No pic

Hello Trashman1000 and Guest,

I would first check to see if the inverter and or the back-light is bad. To check if the back-light and or the inverter is bad take the TV to a dark room turn it on and then with a flash light shine the light onto the screen and see if you can detect a faint picture, if you can this means that the back-light or the inverter has malfunctioned. If you can not detect a faint picture and you have no sound either I would suspect the power supply board.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Polaroid flm 3201 wont turn on

If you have no power light at all on the front of your tv. Check the fuse by the power coard.

If you have a red light only and have the dark power board with black heat sinks. check the fuse in the center of the power board.

if the light turns blue when you hit the power button but no picture and have the dark power board replace the 2- 1000 mfd 10 volts caps with 2- 1000 mfd 16 volt caps at 105 deg.
