Ice is getting stuck on the top of the icemaker. When the paddles cycle around, they jam ice into the icemaker and therfore stop the ice making process. Any solutions?
I have the same problem with my Kenmore Elite 10652603100, I understand that there is a "upgrade kit" consisting of a new ejector and stripper but I havn't found the part number for it yet. Maybe someone could help out on this if they know the number and source. Our ice tray jams up off and on, but this week it's been constant. It used to also never STOP making ice. Currently the trays are full, but won't spit out ice, so this is a new one. We've had various issues since it was new, but nothing too serious. Now, almost 4 years later, it's been giving us trouble for a week straight... and it's 91 degrees out!Our ice tray jams up off and on, but this week it's been constant. If your icemaker is making too much ice or overflowing: Be sure the bucket is properly positioned directly under the icemaker. ... The feeler arm is either a metal rod on the side of the icemaker or a plastic paddle that sits horizontal under the icemaker. If the arm or paddle is broken, the icemaker needs to be replaced.

on the underside of the icemaker there is a metal heating element make sure it is flush to the bottom all the way around. If the element does not heat the bottom ice will not pop out.
Ice maker has built in heater to thraw ice alittle so the finger scooper lifts up ice and out. Be sure the ice cubes are not stuck in between fingers cause that will jam it. if you dont see any jam then replace ice maker
That means no flow of water to icemaker. So check the solenoid valve paddle is stuck/jammed due to a fault in the Valve; replace valve.
accumulation of frost in the water supply tube &/or blockage
defrost button stuck
push the door close button with your thumb, insert the ice tray, any water flowing into the icemaker??----------- observe the position of the paddle & don't forget to check the defrost button is not engaged.......sodeep
its the ice maker .water or condensation has built up in the ice maker modual and refroze upon turning unit back on.either get a new ice maker or uninstall the ice maker and let it dry for a few days and reinstall.but it could happen again that way.or maybe not.
If you have a "paddle" switch just below the icemaker make sure there is tension on it, i.e. the tension spring might be loose. Make sure the tension spring end is inserted into a tiny hole. Mine wasn't, I did it and ice maker works fine now.
on your icemaker you can tell if its a internal problem or a water valve ,,,,, 1st feel inside for any ice ,,, if ice is in icemaker the valve is working ,,, pull fingers on icemaker to get it started and watch it, if it makes its cycle and fills again the the icemaker itself is bad ,,, contact me and i will see if i can help with part or parts / larry
there is no way to speed up the ice production, factory set only way to produse mor os depending on age of refig might have an "extra ice" button on display. even thats atemporary fix and probly speed up by 20--30 min
