I have a 46in lcd Vizio and the picture on it has distorted. The right half of the screen is fine but the left side is much darker and has a lot of motion blur.

Replace circuit board that lights up screen....a lot of little tiny transformers on them...u should have two(2) circuit boards that look alike ... 1 of them is bad!! replace ckt board.

Most likely the screen driver has failed, thay atached to the screen and not replable! ps I don't fix flat screens under 46'' any more because of price.
Hi There are three things that can cause this problem. Your lcd screen, t-con board or the signal board. Most likelly in your case since you say it's only half the screen it's going to be your t-con board. You can try removing it and cleaning all the contacts and replacing it see if that helps. If that doesn't help then replace it. If that does not solve it then it's going to be your screen.
check your tcon board if you have experience with electronics that is. the tcon board is gonna be on the back of the panel and should have two ribbon cables attached from it to the panel so be careful not to tug or pull the cables out and instead left the tab on the connector and gently pull them out. you can even try to reseat them to make sure it is connected properly but if it is and the result is the same you probably need a new one.
