When trying to make copies we have to use the upper feeder tray. The main feeder tray sends out a blank page and makes a strange noise. No error lights are on.
Please help.

Found the answer.
Problem:
Wide blank area on Lead Edge, or Misregistration possibly accompanied by noise. The noise may be described as a clicking, buzzing noise while making copies. The noise may stop for short periods while making copies.
Cause:
The registration Sol. pawl is not capturing the clutch to keep it from turning. This is caused by the Registration Sol. return spring being out of position, or when installing the Main Drive Assy., the pawl is "trapped" in the actuated position.
Solution:
Free the Spring, by rotating it. Ensure that the Pawl moves freely in and out, and engages with the clutch.
Another possibility
Customer wants to send print job to the copier / printer using the single sheet bypass tray as the paper source. Paper or envelope is fed through the single sheet bypass tray and is blank.
Cause:
The machine Customer programmable Paper Tray Bypass Auto Start is enabled causing the sheet to feed into the machine as in a copy mode.
Solution:
Change the Customer programmable Paper Tray Bypass Auto Start feature to off. After that you will need to turn the machine off and on before it will print

Let me understand this one.
When you are making copies, and use the bypass feeder on the left side of the machine you get print on the page, But if you use the bottom main tray you get a noise and a blank piece of paper out? No jam, no print??
Am I really understanding this properly?
