First the operating system,
second your printer driver and third your printer or your pc is old and need to be serviced.
So step one: delete the driver(whatever your model no.)of your printer, turn off your pc and reboot then install this again, I hope this will solve your problem.
Step two: connect your printer with any other pc(turn off your pc connect power cord into wall socket and connect U.S.B. cable with pc, Now turn on pc and the printer) which have the spesific printer driver installed.
